About me
I am a Software Engineer at Vistaprint in the Boston area.
I hail from Mumbai, India and moved to the United States to pursue my Masters in Computer Science from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
I'm passionate about building web applications and have been fortunate to learn, grow and pursue this field professionally at Vistaprint - an e-commerce company in the mass customization domain. During my time here, I have been a part of re-building the $1.5B platform from the monolithic architecture to micro-services (ReactJS, Typescript on the front end; Node.js, C# .NET Core, SQL on the back end) and creating internal self-service tools from the ground up to support the newer website.
When not coding, I like to read crime/thriller novels, run long distances, learn a new language (Spanish currently!), go hiking, travel and explore cafes around town.
Work Experience

Vistaprint
Software Engineer

Northeastern University
Graduate Researcher
Worked on exploring visualizations for SQL queries under the guidance of Dr. Mirek Riedewald, Dr. Wolfgang Gatterbauer, and Dr. Cody Dunne

Schlumber-Doll Reseach
Software Development Intern
Worked closely with geoscientists to create an interactive acoustic scanning web platform for identifying 3D rock properties near the well bore and behind casing measurements for cement evaluation. Developed front-end modules to generate 2D and 3D visualization of well log simulations
Tech stack: React, Node.js, RxJS, OSJS, MobX, Python, Matlab

Vistaprint
Software Engineering Intern
Performed analysis on customer searches to identify gaps in keyword coverage and evaluate the results. Researched techniques to automate the manual process of tagging designs in gallery with keywords using pre-trained models, training an existing model, and predicting words by creating associations. Implemented a semi-automated method leveraging results from pre-trained models to form word associations, increasing the efficiency of content strategists by 40% using C#, React and tSQL.

Air India
Migrated 2 web portals from the JRUN application server to Glassfish. Maintained detailed log and reproducible steps to follow for the remaining applications.
